   The Building Department accepts paper permit applications and plans, but we prefer digital copies submitted to this form or emailed to the Building Department.

18. What We Need

    Please upload all required documentation listed on the permit form, which may include:

    • Completed and signed permit application
    • Detailed drawings and specifications
    • Current site plan that shows all applicable setbacks
    • Signed City Design guidelines
    • Additional special paperwork required by the type of permit (Fire District sign-off, Right-of-way application, etc.).

    All documents must be uploaded at the same time in the field provided below.

22. Permits and plans submitted via this form will be addressed in the order they are received. The Building Department can be reached at (573) 302-2030 during City Hall business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

    Commercial permits are typically issued within 10 to 15 business days, while residential permits are processed within 5 to 10 business days from the time of application. However, additional time may be required based on the complexity of the plan review, specific City or State requirements, or any outstanding fees or incomplete application details.

    Following approval, permits can be paid for using our online portal.
