Missouri Veterans Commission at City Hall

The Missouri Veterans Commission is now located on the first floor of City Hall, accessible via the elevator in the front lobby. Veterans Service Supervisor Chris Butler is a valuable resource for veterans seeking information about benefits and rights.

Veterans Service Officers (VSO) provide counseling and assistance to Veterans and their dependents. VSO's can counsel Veteran's on available VA and state benefits, as well as assist in submitting claims applications with all necessary documentation.

Service Officers are available for:

  • Any follow-up with the VA to obtain earned benefits due any eligible Veteran.
  • Service-connected compensation.
  • Non-service connected disability pension.
  • Education and training.
  • Vocational rehabilitation.
  • Burial and survivor benefits.

They will also assist with health care eligibility, VA Home Loan Guaranty, and other benefits, including those offered by the state.

Veterans Service Officers also have access to the VA Benefit Delivery Network system, which allows them to expedite the filing of claims and delivery of earned benefits. Veterans must provide written authorization before the VA will grant access to their file.

If you need help finding the City Hall office, just stop by the front window to ask for help.
