Overview
The City of Osage Beach is governed by a Mayor and Board of Aldermen who work together to create a thriving, vibrant community. The Board of Aldermen is responsible for enacting and enforcing the rules that guide City operations through the adoption of resolutions and ordinances, all in accordance with state and federal law. Board members are elected by qualified voters from three wards on a rotating basis, serving two-year terms until their successors are elected and qualified.
The Mayor serves as the City’s chief executive officer, presiding over Board meetings and casting a vote only in the event of a tie. In addition to providing general oversight of City officers and operations, the Mayor ensures compliance with local codes, ordinances, and applicable laws. The Mayor is also elected by qualified voters to a two-year term and serves until a successor is elected and qualified.
Together, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen are committed to transparent governance, responsive public service, and thoughtful, sustainable growth—all with the goal of making Osage Beach an even better place to live, work, and visit.
