What We Do
The Patrol Division of the Osage Beach Police Department is made up of the dedicated, uniformed officers you see serving our community every day. Under the guidance of Lieutenant Tim Taylor, this division is organized into four squads, each led by a Sergeant and supported by a Corporal and at least two Officers, all working together to keep our streets safe and secure. School Resource Officers are also assigned to the School of the Osage District.
Here's a brief overview of what we do:

K-9 Unit

The Osage Beach Police Department welcomed K-9 Officer Freya, a highly trained Belgian Malinois, to the force in October 2024. Partnered with Corporal Stephen Riner of the Patrol Division, Ofc. Freya specializes in scent detection (including illegal drugs), tracking, and apprehension. The duo completed rigorous training with K9 Working Dogs International, and trains frequently to keep her skills sharp.
“Freya’s a jack-of-all-trades. She’s a phenomenal tracker. With a scent, she can track you to the ends of the earth.”
- Cpl. Stephen Riner
Ofc. Freya is the third K-9 to serve the department and has already made her mark by helping officers take narcotics off the streets. Her predecessors include retired K-9 Officers Axel and A.J.
