Right-of-Way

Application Process

A right-of-way permit is required for any work, excavation, trenching, fill-in, or over, on any City of Osage Beach easement.

The Osage Beach Building Department requires a completed and signed Right-of-Way/Easement Permit Application for each project. Each permit has specific instructions and requirements, so please read over the packet carefully and provide the requested documentation through the Plans & Permits Form.

Special Requirements

Surety or cash bond

  • A surety or cash bond in the amount of $2,000 is required for each job. Online payments are not accepted.
  • We accept surety bonds or checks made out to the City of Osage Beach.
  • The bond will be promptly refunded when the repairs have been inspected and approved.

Timely completion of work

  • Public access and use must be disrupted as little as possible.
  • Any work within the city right-of-way or easement must proceed without unnecessary delays. Once started, work should continue during normal working hours until completion.
  • Leaving open trenches or other excavations for more than 48 hours is prohibited.

Inspections

The permit applicant or an authorized designee is responsible for scheduling all required inspections. The contractor or property owner will be held accountable for any work completed without an official inspection by the City of Osage Beach.
