What We Do
The Sewer Department runs a complex sewage system that transports on average one million gallons of wastewater daily to the Lake Ozark/Osage Beach Joint Sewer Treatment Plant. The state-of-the-art facility, next to the Osage River, is shared by the City of Osage Beach and Lake Ozark.
The department is dedicated to safely transporting and treating wastewater to maintain public health. Here's a brief overview of what we do:

History & Usage
The City of Osage Beach began sewage operations in the mid-1980s and now serves more than 6,300 equivalent users both in and out of the City. The sewage infrastructure is made up of:
- 143 miles of pressured sewer lines
- 9 miles of gravity sewer lines
- 58 major lift stations
- 1,115 grinder (minor) lift stations
- Two equalization basins
