1. How do I report an issue to Public Works?

Urgent issues occurring during business hours should be called into Public Works immediately at (573) 302-2020. Urgent requests after hours should be called into the Police Department non-emergency line at (573) 302-2010. You can also use the Fix It Form to report non-critical issues. Reports submitted via the Fix It Form may not be addressed until the next business day. Each department strives to meet customer needs quickly and efficiently. 

2. How do I establish utility service for an existing residence?

Contact Utility Billing at Osage Beach City Hall at (573) 302-2000, ext. 1034, to have water and/or sewer service set up in the new renter or homeowner name.

3. How can I pay my utility bill?

City of Osage Beach water and sewer customers have many options to manage their utility bills:

• View and pay bill online*
• E-billing enrollment
• Pay by bank draft via Electronic Funds Transfer (PDF)
• Customers can pay securely over the phone as well as hear real time balances, payment amounts and due dates.
• Customers can also make payments at the City Hall window, mail them to City Hall (1000 City Pkwy.) or use the after-hours drop box on the Police Department side of the front parking lot.

Accepted forms of payment include credit cards, cash, checks, and money orders.

*All debit and credit card transactions will be subject to merchant fees starting Jan. 1, 2025. Payments made by bank draft are not subject to fees.

4. I may have a water leak. What can the City do to help?

We can check the meter to ensure it is working properly, help determine if water usage is normal, and turn off the water if necessary. However, the City is not responsible for leaks on private property. City workers are not allowed to go into private homes to find or fix leaks. If there is a leak on private property, it is the homeowner's responsibility, and they may need to hire a plumber or contractor to fix it.

5. Why is my sewer charge so much higher than my water charge?

The base rate for sewer is lower than the base rate for water, but the sewer usage rate is higher than the water usage rate. This means that if you use more water, your sewer charge will end up being higher than your water charge. This is because the cost of safely moving sewage from homes and businesses to the treatment plant is much higher than the cost of delivering water. 6. When will my street be cleaned?

Publicly owned residential streets within Osage Beach city limits are swept two times per year. Call Public Works at (573) 302-2020 for more information.
