What is involved in the City's hiring process?: A screening process is used for all job positions to make sure applicants possess the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the position. The interview and selection process is tailored to each specific job and may include, but not limited to, oral interviews, written tests, physical ability tests, pre-employment criminal history checks and drug screening. In addition, Police Department positions may include polygraph examinations, psychological and medical evaluations and background investigation.

How do I know when the City is accepting applications?: Positions open to the public are listed on the City's website and may be posted on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. To be notified when a job vacancy is posted on the City’s website, sign up for "Notify Me". Refer to Employment Opportunities to apply for job openings.

2. How do I apply for a position at the City?: Applications are only accepted for open positions. The City does not keep unsolicited resumes or applications on file. Refer to Employment Opportunities for current open positions.

4. How old do you have to be to work for the City?: An individual must be at least 18 years of age to be employed by the City of Osage Beach, with the exception of the City Administrator and police officers. To apply for City Administrator, an individual must be at least 24 years of age; police officers must be at least 21 years of age per Missouri state law.
