1. How late do the parks stay open?

City Park is gated and is locked when closed. Peanick Park on Hwy 42 is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. Osage Beach City Park on Hatchery Road is open from official Sunrise to official Sunset. The parks are open to the public every day; however, sports fields may be closed for maintenance starting mid-December through February and periodically throughout the year, as determined by the Parks Manager.

2. Do I have to pay to reserve park facilities in order to use them?

No. The City’s parks and their facilities are open to the public on a first come first served basis, free of charge, during normal park hours if no prior reservations have been made. However, if you want to hold an event on a certain day and time a paid park reservation will ensure that the facility you need is available and ready to go specifically for your event. For example, if you want to hold a birthday party at one of the pavilions on a particular Saturday at 2 PM you should visit the website and click on the following to secure your reservation: Departments>Parks & Recreation>Parks & Facilities>Make a Reservation. This will ensure that any of the facilities you desire to rent are available for your event on the requested date and time.

3. How do I reserve park facilities?

The sports fields (baseball/softball and soccer fields), pavilions, and/or other areas of either park are available for reservation by the public when not otherwise scheduled. Reservations must be approved and are on a first come, first served basis. What to do: 1) Visit www.osagebeach.org, click on Departments>Parks & Recreation> Parks & Facilities>Make a Reservation; 2) Click "Make a Reservation here"; 3) You must first create a profile.  If you already have a profile, then click "Facilities"; 4) From here complete the reservation process by selecting the facility, rental time and date, and complete with payment and form completion.  If you have further questions or inquiries please contact the Parks Department at 573-302-7460.  For all other park inquiries contact the Parks and Recreation Department Manager directly at 573-302-2000 ext. 3000. 

4. I have a field reservation and I get rained out, do I get a refund?

During inclement weather, the Parks and Recreation Department will determine field play-ability. In the event inclement weather occurs AFTER the Parks and Recreation’s normal business hours and without communication with the Parks Manager, the applicant will be responsible for determining if the event occurs or is cancelled. When an event is cancelled due to inclement weather PRIOR to the start time, user fees will be reimbursed in full. If an event is shortened due to inclement weather, user fees will be charged based on time used.

5. Can I have alcohol at the park?

Not without a permit. It is unlawful for any person to sell, serve, dispense, possess, or consume intoxicating liquors upon any public building or place, including the City parks. However, an Alcohol on Public Property Permit may be obtained under certain circumstances. A person seeking permit shall file an Alcohol on Public Property Application for Permit with the City Administrator and pay the permit fee of $50 at least thirty (30) days prior to your event.  Additionally, if the concession stand is open under normal operations, alcohol is available for purchase through the Parks Department.
